This one is for cars...
You go in a four-wheeler... So you are a rich guy... so by default have good money and less time.. :-) You ask for fuel for 1200/- Person A starts filling. The meters (both fuel and amount) starts rolling.
Then other guy B comes for cash. But you take out your credit card (Software engineers lifeline), B takes it inside and returns with the receipt. You sign it and now you check the meter, it shows 1200/-
Everything seems correct. But you miss out one point, whether the final display was the actual one or just a dummy display.
To find out check both readings. Both fuel and price should have valid numbers.
This I have seen yesterday and this caused me to write this blog in frustration. The person filled upto 650/- or so, then he changed the display by using the keyboard to 1200/- and showed that to the car owner. Before I told the owner of the car, he left... As I said before he was busy...
1. Check Zero always in the beginning
2. Check both (fuel and amount - litres and rupees) are showing correct values
